    A. Place your informal response to the Web 2.0 Safety Article here (approximately 250 words):
Nancy Willard has great ideas, education, and experience to contribute to an ever-growing educational need, Internet Safety. As a substitute it is difficult to accurately assess the effectiveness of my school's online safety strategy, because I am not limited to any one school. Last semester I was fortunate to "cover" a middle school teacher's sixth grade computer literacy class. During this experience I concluded that school instructional staff did indeed make mention of internet safety procedures and youth risk online issues. Instruction of internet safety was the responsibility of the computer literacy teacher, me. I was instructed to use i-Safe DVD's and answer questions from students afterwards. I know that kids a smart and pick up on things quickly, even when they are non-responsive. I did my best to create a level of comfortability for discussion about the DVD lessons, still not one student felt it to be a conversation they wanted to have or involve themselves in, I was met with the "..students..unlikely to be direct in discussing a concern." http://www.educationworld.com/a_tech/columnists/willard/willard008.shtml
